Bird Hunting Regulations (Jan 1st thru Dec 31st)
(Revised 1/07/2005)
1.
No hunting after 3pm on Fridays
2.
No hunting until legal sunrise and no hunting after legal
sunset
3.
Limits:
Pheasant 2 per day 10 per year
4.
No hunting within 150 ft of Moore Rd (state rules apply)
5.
No hunting within 150 ft of any building on club grounds
6.
No hunting or scenting dogs around bird pens
7.
No hunting on Sundays during regular state Pheasant season (except for
private hunts)
8.
No hunting of birds during the state Deer season (Monday after
thanksgiving thru January 1st)
9.
A minimum of a hunter orange cap or hat must be worn while
bird hunting on club grounds
10. All harvested birds must be logged
in on club harvest log (must have a accurate count for insurance and state reports)
11. Pay attention to new posting sign behind fence (Preserve may be closed periodically)
12. Harvest log is now located in the
new posting sign
13.
Any birds caught by dogs count
as owners limit for the day and for the year (birds must logged under dog
Owners name)
14. Once bird limit is reached for the year no more birds are to be harvested (except special order hunts)
15. No logging of birds under other members names.
16. Massachusetts hunting license number must be entered on harvest log
